Coca-Cola Co., Target Corp., Société Générale SA and Goldman Sachs & Co. are just a few of the well-known companies recently victimized by a computer hack.
Such breaches of corporate computers by outsiders and disloyal employees are among the top concerns in 2014 for corporate America because the consequences can be catastrophic: violations of privacy of customer and personnel information, the loss of confidential business information and trade secrets, and a loss of confidence in corporate leadership.
During this presentation Brent will discuss the importance of determining when an attack has occurred, identifying the sources of such an attack – including the violative “inside job” and understanding the company’s obligations to secure confidential data, legal responses and means of recovery, and the role of in-house and outside counsel.
