What You Need to Know About California's New Minimum Wage

The article discusses the challenges California employers face with California’s new minimum wage laws. While there are some exceptions, almost all employees in California must be paid minimum wage. The increases will continue through 2023. 

He outlines the increase schedule for businesses with 26 employees and more, and the schedule for those with less than 25. To complicate matters for employers in California, this increase in the state minimum wage does not affect higher local minimum “living” wage ordinances throughout the state of California.
