Wage and Hour Wednesdays: Benefits of Conducting a Wage and Hour Audit in California

Event

1.22.25
12:00 PM — 1:00 PM EDT

In 2024, California made some significant Labor Code reforms that will offer much-needed relief to employers. The legislation arises from extended months long discussions between the Newsom Administration, labor advocates and organizations, and business groups. The most important change is the ability to significantly reduce possible penalties in certain wage-hour lawsuits when employers take “all reasonable steps” to be in compliance with the Labor Code prior to a demand letter being issued by an employee.

In this webinar, we will discuss proactive steps employers should take to reduce their risk and potential exposure to claims brought pursuant to California’s Private Attorneys’ General Act – also known as PAGA. This program will be helpful for employers who have any employees in California.

The firm is submitting this webinar for HRCI/SHRM credit.
