Ann Margaret Pointer was quoted in the Wall Street Journal on June 15, 2015. The article “Visa Glitch Stalls Workers, Straining U.S. Farms” examined how the State Department's hardware failures have left legal farm workers stranded in Mexico, threatening the harvest of some fruits and vegetables.
Ann, an attorney who works with the North Carolina Growers Association, whose 750 members rely on the program, said about 400 workers are stranded at the border instead of working in the fields.
