Unions Continue Targeting Healthcare with Aggressive, Varied Tactics

If hospitals and other industry employers harbored any lingering uncertainties about whether unions are targeting healthcare workers as potential new members, recent events should have erased all doubts. Based upon the nature and variety of activities, union organizers are encouraged by the prospect of adding thousands of nurses, nursing assistants, technical employees, laundry workers and others to their membership rosters. While not all of the news was bad for hospitals, union activities are casting a widening shadow over the industry landscape.
