In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Kevin Troutman shares his insights on employers requiring the COVID-19 vaccine as a condition of employment. He explains that “companies can legally require vaccines as a condition of employment, though they must accommodate religious beliefs or medical conditions that may keep workers from getting shots.” Kevin also notes that while more employers are looking to require the vaccine and can request proof of vaccination, they need to keep in mind that there are legal risks if their managers probe the reasons behind a worker’s hesitancy to comply with the vaccine mandate.
