North Carolina’s “bathroom law” may be capturing headlines, but public sentiment concerning LGBT issues is rapidly evolving. Unfortunately for employers in Ohio, federal regulations are not changing so quickly, often leaving businesses and their HR managers confused about applying old rules with new situations.
Please join Fisher Phillips’ Sam Lillard on the morning of June 14, 2016 for an informative discussion on employer obligations under the law. Sam will provide practical insight on balancing the legal and business issues of compliance with the broader concerns for providing employees with a safe and comfortable work environment, including on:
- Restroom access, dress codes, and customer reactions
- Workplace policies that comply with the law and articulate an inclusive company culture
- How to respond when employees tell you they are transitioning gender
- Current legislation in Ohio and what it could mean for employers
