NEW ORLEANS, LA (March 4, 2016) – Fisher Phillips announced today that New Orleans CityBusiness included Scott Schneider in the 2016 Leadership in Law list. Schneider previously received this honor in 2009.
Leadership in Law recognizes 50 area legal professionals in four categories: firm associated, court associated, in-house counsel and educators. Honorees are selected based on their professional and community involvement and achievements.
Schneider leads the firm’s Higher Education Practice Group, where he provides counsel and litigation support on various higher education issues, particularly institutional policies and sexual assault allegations. He was recently selected to assist in the development of the National Center for Campus Public Safety’s Trauma-Informed Sexual Assault Investigation and Adjudication training program for campus officials. Before joining Fisher Phillips, Schneider served as Associate General Counsel in Tulane University’s Office of General Counsel for six years, while teaching both law and business classes.
“Fisher Phillips is proud to call Scott Schneider a partner. His accomplishments in the legal profession and in the New Orleans community make him an excellent choice for New Orleans CityBusiness’ 2016 Leadership in Law List,” said Fisher Phillips Regional Managing Partner Edward Harold of Schneider’s designation.
In addition to a fulfilling work schedule, Schneider enjoys giving back to the New Orleans community. Presently, he is a board member for Hospice Foundation of the South, Playmakers Theater, JoJo’s Hope and Louisiana CASA. He also volunteers with the New Orleans Pro Bono Project and the Orleans Parish Indigent Defender Program.
