In the Daily Journal article titled “Assembly passes bill against required workplace arbitration,” San Diego Associate Megan Walker talks about California Assembly Bill 51, which would bar employers from requiring an arbitration agreement as a condition of employment. AB 51 passed the State Assembly on May 22 and advances to the Senate.
Megan explains that this issue has come up time and again in California and that previous governors have vetoed similar bills. She says, “Now that we have a new governor, it will be interesting to see if he signs it.”
