ATLANTA, GA (June 3, 2015) – The partners at Fisher Phillips have re-elected Roger K. Quillen to the firm’s Management Committee and that three-member body has re-elected him to serve as the committee’s Chairman and the firm’s Managing Partner. Quillen has led the national labor and employment law firm since 1999 and has served on the Management Committee continuously since 1997. He joined the firm in Atlanta in 1980. Management Committee members are elected to serve three-year terms. Quillen’s fellow committee members are Charles S. Caulkins of the Fort Lauderdale office and John M. Polson of the Irvine office.
Quillen has led Fisher Phillips through a period of rapid growth. The firm has tripled in size under his leadership and is widely recognized as one of the top management-side labor and employment law firms in the United States. The firm was named 2015 “Law Firm of the Year” for Labor & Employment Litigation by U.S. News - Best Lawyers. Human Resource Executive magazine has repeatedly named him one of “The Nation’s Most Powerful Employment Attorneys” and he is listed in Best Lawyers.
The firm has implemented many innovations during Quillen’s tenure, including the development of Fisher Focus, the firm’s Legal Project Management program. Fisher Focus, developed in response to changing client needs and the growth of the firm, is a systematic way to manage legal matters using sophisticated software, skilled personnel, and project management best practices. According to Quillen: “The Fisher Focus approach enables us to increase efficiency and cost effectiveness for our clients by leveraging our vast resources and experience. It’s the Fisher Phillips way of delivering maximum value to our clients.”
Quillen has emphasized client service and personally visits clients across the country to hear directly from them about the service they receive. Quillen helped to develop internal programs, such as Fisher Focus, to ensure that attorneys and staff across the firm deliver first-rate services to all of the firm’s clients.
Quillen said: “The legal landscape has changed dramatically over the past several years. Not only do firms have to provide excellent legal advice and service, but they must emphasize client service. The competition is fierce and clients expect and deserve to be treated with the utmost respect. They also want to work with attorneys who have integrity and a commitment to doing the right thing. It is an honor to continue to lead a firm where those commitments are deeply ingrained in our DNA.”
Quillen graduated from The Ohio State University College of Law With Honors in 1980. He also holds a Master’s of Science Degree from Purdue University and two Bachelor’s Degrees from The Ohio State University.
