In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Brian Balonick, Regional Managing Partner of the firm’s Pittsburgh office, shares his insight on the reduced ambition of employees, which may lead to companies needing more staff to do the same amount of work.

Brian explains that during the pandemic, corporate leaders blamed young workers for not wanting to work as hard as their older counterparts, but now it is evident that the workforce is shifting more than expected. “There’s a realization that the way Americans want to work has changed more widely,” says Brian. Therefore, employers may have to adjust how they hire, train, and retain employees.
