In an interview with Law360, Patrick Dennison discusses growing concern among employers and employment counsel for potential discrimination and harassment claims as employers manage Monkeypox cases in their workplaces.
According to the World Health Organization, in the reported cases where the infected person shared their sexual orientation, 97% were men who have sex with men. To safeguard against any potential discrimination in the workplace, Patrick suggests employers meet with their managers to ensure there is no discrimination based on sexual orientation. “Any complaints should be documented, investigated, and taken seriously” he added.
