In a special feature with local law firm leaders, the Philadelphia Business Journal interviewed local law firm leaders, including Chris Stief, Regional Managing Partner of the firm’s Philadelphia office, on what they’re focused on in 2023.
Chris talks about the office’s growth since moving to Two Logan Square, including how the firm remains attractive to both associates and partners. He explains, “We intend to keep that momentum going in 2023 as we continue hiring and rolling out programs that make Fisher Phillips an attractive place for attorneys at all levels to build their practice.”
Chris also identifies several trends that he’s watching that will impact workplaces across the country, including the economic uncertainty that might lead employers to take steps to reduce costs through layoffs. In addition, he says he is keeping an eye on state and federal scrutiny of employment laws like salary transparency requirements, the use of non-compete agreements, and issues raised by the increasing interaction of AI and data analytics.
