Pay Equity Co-Chair Discusses Women’s Soccer Lawsuit with Fast Company

The United States Women’s National Soccer Team (USWNST) has won their second World Cup title. Given the team’s high profile, their lawsuit against the United States Soccer Federation claiming unfair pair is shining a global spotlight on pay equity litigation. In an interview with Fast Company about which party will benefit from the decision to enter meditation, Kathleen Caminiti said: “Mediation presents an opportunity to attempt to negotiate a settlement quickly and may allow both sides to come up with a creative resolution to the current pay dispute, as well as a path moving forward. With their win at the World Cup, the USWNST is hot right now, and a prompt mediation may be more beneficial for both parties than lengthy legal proceedings.”
