Paid Sick Leave Order? Add It to the List of In-House Concerns

Cheryl Behymer was quoted in Corporate Counsel on September 10, 2015. The article “Paid Sick Leave Order? Add It to the List of In-House Concerns” discussed President Obama's new order requiring paid sick leave for employees working under federal contracts.

Cheryl was quoted on her take of the president’s new order.

“It means if you have employees who are doing work on federal contracts plus work on nonfederal contracts you have to track their time separately,” said Cheryl.

Many companies are also putting leave policies into place on their own. “Over the past few years there seem to be more and more and more,” said Cheryl. “It used do be that only big employers gave these benefits.”
