In an interview with Greater Baton Rouge Business Report, Ed Harold discusses the legal challenges facing vaccine mandates. As more employers implement such mandates there is a growing awareness of the unique challenges among public and private institutions. “Private institutions operate under fewer strictures than do public institutions,” says Ed. He also believes employers are reticent to mandate vaccines due to the labor shortage. For example, he says, local hospitals cannot get enough nurses, but mandating the vaccine could help reduce the spread in the healthcare setting. It's a tricky spot for employers to be in and many are walking a the fine line.
