Employee behavior both in and out of the workplace has become a hot topic as of late, and companies need to be able to identify, and often prevent, behavior that could lead to office disputes, harassment, and in some cases, company embarrassment. Everything from religious and political discussions, to social media posts, to general disagreements amongst employees, can lead to a plethora of legal issues and employers need to get ahead of these behaviors to minimize lawsuits and prevent employee conflict in the workplace. Problems often result when employees (and employers) are unaware of what they can and cannot say and share, and it is up to employers to implement a consistent policy on office behavior to help ensure a safe and comfortable workplace for all employees.
This program – tailored to HR professionals, in-house counsel and management – will address various office behaviors that could ultimately lead to legal issues and how to best address them.
