The H-1B visa is the most common visa classification for foreign students graduating from U.S. universities. However, only 65,000 can be granted in a fiscal year, and the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service completed the lottery April 10. In an authored article for Memphis Business Journal, David Jones outlines the other options for employers if their employees didn’t make the H-1B visa cut. Jones states: “Although it is no longer possible to get a cap subject H-1B in the 2019 fiscal year, there are still options. Employers facing this issue should consult with a qualified — and creative — immigration attorney to see what can be done.”
