Lunch & Lead: WILC Lunchtime Leadership Skills Session

Join the Fisher Phillips Women’s Initiative and Leadership Council (WILC) for an interactive program that will leave you inspired, empowered, and equipped with valuable tactics to transform your leadership skills.

Recent research studies show that while we enter the workforce at the same rate as men, women aspiring to higher levels of leadership are steadily decreasing in numbers as they climb the leadership hill, falling off the leadership ‘cliff’ at the manager/senior manager level. To change this alarming trend, women leaders need to stop looking at external factors and solutions and start examining their own internal barriers to success, starting by tapping into their innate Emotional Intelligence (EQ).

During this presentation, leadership coach Camille McKinney will cover:

• How ignoring Emotional Intelligence (EQ) can have an impact on your results, particularly your ability to advance as a leader
• 5 surprisingly simple ways to tap into your EQ so you can immediately get focused an up-level your leadership presence
• How committing to some key 'next steps' can get you into action right away to start showing up as an inspiring and empowering leader and improve your personal and business results

Fisher Phillips is committed to giving back to the community we live and serve in.  Vidhya Ragunathan from Inner City Law Center, a nonprofit law firm that provides free legal services to the poorest and most vulnerable residents of Los Angeles, will discuss the unique issues with female homelessness.  Guests wishing to make a monetary donation will receive a raffle ticket for every $5 donated to win one of our fabulous prizes.  Donations optional.

About WILC

The WILC committee is comprised of partners, associates, and staff from our offices around the nation. WILC has been charged with several important missions. First and foremost, WILC focuses on recruiting, developing and retaining women attorneys and fostering female leadership within the firm. WILC seeks to foster mentor relationships among women attorneys and encourages the sponsorship of female attorneys to assist in their development as leaders both within and outside of the firm. WILC looks critically at the advancement of women outside the firm and seeks to spearhead programs and projects geared towards that goal. The committee promotes business development by and for women by hosting and supporting various women-focused events and programs, and encourages firm participation in bar organizations and other groups with a similar mission of promoting the advancement of women in the law and society.
