In an interview with Bloomberg Law, Davis Bae shares his insights on the impact recent tech layoffs are having on the process of obtaining employment-based visas. And for employers, he explains that it is important to get in front of any potential immigration problems tied to recent layoffs in the tech industry, but he notes that “[w]ith some creative management, companies can work through this just fine.” He also makes clear that while the rolling tech layoffs may throw a wrench in workers’ green card plans, their “immigrant dreams” are certainly not over.
