Contract Interpretation: Your Survival Guide
Fisher Phillips Labor Seminar
Join Todd A. Lyon for this day-long survival course in contract interpretation. Attendees will learn the time-honored rules for interpreting the thorniest areas of collective bargaining agreements, from seniority provisions to management rights. You will also learn to wade through the swamps of past practice and transfers of bargaining unit work.
Through many hands-on activities, advanced and moderately experienced HR and Labor Relations professionals will test their survival skills so as to avoid the pitfalls of grievance arbitration. You will also evaluate timeliness arguments and substantive arbitrability so as to determine whether those tools are worth using in the field.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a copy of their contract; canteen is optional.
