In an interview with the SHRM, Kevin Troutman discusses the recent influx of fake vaccine cards. "Similar to fake IDs used by underaged students to obtain alcohol, the Internet seems to have spawned a cottage industry marketing bogus cards," he said, also noting that many state laws prohibit such activity.
