Healthcare Co-chair Offers Tips for Detecting Fake Vaccine Cards

Kevin Troutman was quoted in SHRM, sharing several tips for identifying fake vaccine cards — an issue that has been increasingly problematic as some cities and states have started to enforce stricter COVID-19 vaccination requirements in response to the spike in cases caused by the Omicron variant.

Kevin recommended that employers look for inconsistent dates, misspellings, names of unfamiliar manufacturers or providers, cardstock type, the absence of information called for on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and more.
