Healthcare Co-Chair Interviews with CBS Philadelphia on Identifying Fraudulent Vaccine Cards

News

4.21.22

In an interview with the Philadelphia CBS affiliate, Kevin Troutman discusses best practices for employers verifying vaccine cards.

“If you can see the actual card, which we think is a good idea, make sure it feels like a card, that it’s not just a slip of paper,” Kevin explains. “Look at the signatures. Does all the handwriting look like it’s the same?” Prompted by the arrest of a USPS worker who is alleged to have sold hundreds of fake vaccine cards, Kevin says the consequences for this type of fraud are “federal criminal charges.”
