GHSHRM August Educational Luncheon

OSHA has increased its scrutiny of the Healthcare industry in the last five years.  Indeed, the scrutiny ranges from workplace violence, blood borne pathogens to ergonomics.  Additionally, areas and employees that are not typically thought of within the industry are at risk.  These include maintenance workers, orderlies, and administrative/front desk personnel.  In the past few years OSHA has conducted over 5 dozen inspections in the Houston area alone.  With the ability to fine employers hundreds of thousands of dollars, being prepared for this scrutiny is critical.

For our members who are not funded for the 2017 ASHRM Conference, Rocket to the Future of Health Care, we will hold a drawing at the August lunch to award up to $1000 in expenses to attend the conference.  You must be a current member and in attendance at the luncheon to win.  The ASHRM Conference will be in Seattle, WA October 15-18, 2017.
