Ted Boehm was quoted in U.S. News on August 3, 2015. The article “Get Started: Employee or Freelancer? Labor Dept. Issues Opinion on How to Decide Worker Status” discussed how it may become harder for businesses to classify workers as freelancers rather than employees following David Weil's, administrator of the department's Wage and Hour Division, opinion issued last month.
Ted was quoted on his take of Weil’s opinion.

He cautioned that Weil's opinion doesn't have the force of law. But the government is hoping courts will rely on the opinion in deciding lawsuits brought by workers who contend they've been misclassified as freelancers.
"I think a good number of courts would consider it persuasive," he added.
