Four More Years: The Future of Labor and Employment Law

Many viewed last November’s presidential election as a pivotal moment for employers. The Affordable Care Act (ACA), comprehensive immigration reform and the future makeup of the U.S. Supreme Court hung in the balance. Moreover, employers wanted to know what they could expect in the coming years form the National Labor Relations Board, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and Department of Labor (DOL).
President Barack Obama’s re-election mostly answered those questions. Undoubtedly, there’ll be surprises – some good, some bad – for employers in the next four years.
