Fisher Phillips, an international labor and employment law firm representing employers, is pleased to announce that Marko Maglich has joined the firm as Senior Counsel in the Boston office.
With decades of experience, Marko is known for helping large companies navigate all aspects of corporate immigration law with a focus on business-related visas and regulatory compliance. In addition to covering all aspects of employment based visas and immigration compliance, Marko advises international corporations on the immigration considerations associated with mergers and acquisitions. He also regularly counsels clients on family-based immigration, complex consular issues, and removal and admissibility on criminal and other grounds. He was most recently at one of the big four labor and employment law firms. Prior to that, Marko practiced at a large international law firm where he spent over a decade as director of that firm’s corporate U.S. immigration practice.
At Fisher Phillips, Marko will be an integral part of the firm’s Immigration Practice Group handling all aspects of immigration issues related to employment authorization, employee training and general enforcement and regulatory compliance. He will also advise employers on immigration due diligence and risk management in connection with corporate mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring.
“Marko bolsters our growing immigration team in Boston, which includes the recent arrivals of Brian Coughlin, Tatiana Chiu, and Casandra Ozcimder,” said David Jones, co-chair of the firm's Immigration Practice Group. “His wealth of transactional and enforcement experience will be a powerful complement on the East Coast while adding to the overall breadth and depth of the corporate immigration services we can offer across the firm’s international platform.”
Marko is a thought leader and regular speaker, author, and teacher on immigration topics for organizations and schools, including the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and the Practising Law Institute (PLI). He earned his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law and his A.B. from Sarah Lawrence College. Marko is regularly recognized for Immigration Law by The Best Lawyers in America, Legal 500 USA, and Who’s Who Legal.
