Fisher Phillips Welcomes Jessica Barranco in Kansas City

Fisher Phillips, one of the country’s preeminent labor and employment law firms representing employers, is pleased to announce that Jessica Barranco has joined the firm as an associate in the Kansas City office.
Before joining Fisher Phillips, Jessica practiced at an AmLaw 100 firm where she advised companies on complex employment matters involving the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Age Discrimination and Employment Act (ADEA), and Title VII. At Fisher Phillips Jessica will continue defending employers in workplace disputes while also focusing on preventative measures such as conducting employee and HR training, reviewing employee handbooks, drafting employment agreements, and creating policies in compliance with federal and state employment laws and agency regulations.
Jessica earned her law degree from the Washburn University School of Law where she served as Managing Editor of the Washburn Law Journal. During law school she also served as a judicial intern for the Hon. Julie Ann Robinson, Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas.
