Fisher Phillips, an international labor and employment law firm representing employers, is pleased to announce that Gregory “Greg” Hendershott has joined as Partner in the firm’s Seattle, Washington office.

Greg is a seasoned litigator arriving from an AmLaw 100 firm where he defended employers in high-stakes disputes including class-action wage-and-hour matters and claims of discrimination, bonus and commission pay issues, and restrictive covenants and trade secrets. His practice also encompasses proactive strategies to help clients prevent workplace disputes before they arise by providing practical solutions and advice and compliance counseling on issues related to compensation and executive employment agreements, employee leave, workplace culture, and sensitive terminations. Greg also regularly conducts employment-related trainings and internal investigations of executives and other senior-level employees involved in alleged misconduct.

“As an experienced first-chair trial litigator, traditional labor lawyer, and trusted advisor, Greg will be an amazing addition to our West Coast bench,” said John Polson, firm Chairman and Managing Partner. “Our west coast practice continues to grow at a healthy pace and Greg will be a vital part of our continued success in the region. We are thrilled to welcome a lawyer of his caliber to the firm.”

Greg rounds out his practice with extensive experience handling traditional labor law matters including collective bargaining, unfair labor practice charges, arbitrations, picketing, union organizing, prevailing wage Project Labor Agreements, and strikes. He is known for leading high-profile labor negotiations, union relations, and the overall implementation of effective strategies to address the unique business challenges presented by labor laws.

“Greg has a stellar reputation for his defense of employers in a variety of matters, ranging from complex employment disputes including nationwide class action cases  to accusations of violating federal labor laws and everything in between,” said Davis Bae, Regional Managing Partner in Seattle. “We’ve practiced in the same circles for quite some time, and I have come to greatly respect his approach to client service, and I look forward to everything we stand to gain by welcoming an accomplished lawyer like Greg to our team.”

“I’m looking forward to integrating my years of experience into the breadth and depth of the firm’s well-rounded practice encompassing everything from strategic advisor and relentless defender of all aspects of labor and employment law, counseling, and risk management,” said Greg. “I’ve long admired Fisher Phillips’ approach to labor and employment law, and I am truly excited about the opportunities the firm presents for my clients and my practice.”

Greg is a thought leader who is frequently asked to speak and write for various groups and professional associations on a variety of employment law topics and workplace concerns. He earned his J.D. from the University of Oregon School of Law and his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University.
