Fisher Phillips, one of the country’s preeminent employment and education law firms representing K-12 schools as well as institutions of higher education, is pleased to announce that Brian Guerinot has joined the firm as an associate in the Houston office.
Brian started his legal career at an AmLaw 100 firm where he focused on commercial financial transactions. Immediately before joining Fisher Phillips, he was at an education-focused firm where he represented school districts and charter schools in matters involving a variety of education and employment issues.
At Fisher Phillips Brian will continue his work on behalf of academic institutions addressing education law matters from admission through graduation and hiring through separation. As a member of the firm’s Education Practice Group, Brian will counsel clients on all types of issues arising in the employment and education environment including employee and student admissions/hiring, disabilities, leaves, discipline, expulsion/separation, training, contracts, tax, benefits, immigration, and a variety of issues in between. He will defend schools facing administrative charges and complex litigation and will also focus on preventing issues before they arise by identifying and managing risk and counseling on compliance obligations.
Brian earned his law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law where he served as an Articles Editor for the Virginia Journal of Social Policy and the Law.
