Fisher Phillips Welcomes Back Ron Brand, Deepening Firm’s California Litigation Bench

Fisher Phillips, an international labor and employment law firm representing employers, is pleased to announce that Ron Brand has rejoined the firm as Partner in the Irvine, California office. Ron was previously an associate and then a partner at Fisher Phillips from 2003-2012 and rejoins a growing employment litigation team in Southern California.

Ron joins from a national firm where he served as Partner and Chair of the firm’s Labor & Employment Counseling and Litigation practice group. His practice focuses on claims involving wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, wage and hour violations, and whistleblower retaliation. Ron has extensive experience with class actions and PAGA claims, representing clients in federal and state courts, as well as before various administrative agencies including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the California Employment Development Department, the California Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board, the California Labor Commissioner, and the California Civil Rights Department. In addition to his litigation work, Ron provides preventative counseling on human resources matters, drafts and negotiates employment agreements, and delivers management training.

At Fisher Phillips, Ron joins a growing California Litigation team focused on defending businesses in employment suits of all kinds and sizes across the state. Spanning six offices in California, and including more than 150 attorneys, the team defends employers in wage and hour, Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA), misclassification, trade secrets, retaliation, whistleblower, workplace safety (OSHA), discrimination, harassment, data privacy and many other types of claims employers might be facing in California.

Ron earned his J.D., with honor, from DePaul University College of Law and his B.A. from UC Irvine. He is deeply involved in the Irvine community where he serves as a legal advisor for American Family Housing, Habitat for Humanity of Orange County, HomeAid Orange County, Innovative Housing Opportunities, the Jewish Federation of Orange County, the Jewish Community Foundation Orange County, and Project Access.
