Fisher Phillips Strengthens Education Practice with New Of Counsel in Houston

Houston, Texas (September 5, 2018) – Fisher Phillips announces the addition of prominent education lawyer, Kristin Smith, who has joined the Houston office as Of Counsel.
Prior to joining Fisher Phillips, Kristin was an attorney at Bracewell LLP, where she focused exclusively on legal issues facing independent and private schools. She will continue to counsel and represent religious and secular schools, including those serving a variety of age groups and grades, at Fisher Phillips.
Kristin’s work focuses on assisting schools with student and employee discipline; faculty, staff and student contract drafting; handbook and policy drafting, LGBTQ issues; discrimination claims and EEOC charges; school entanglement in family court proceedings; and investigations, litigation, arbitration and mediation.

Kristin earned her law degree from the William Mitchell College of Law and her undergraduate and master degrees from the University of Minnesota.
