Fisher Phillips Partners Re-Elect Thomas Rebel to Management Committee

ATLANTA, GA (May 17, 2011) - The partners at Fisher Phillips have re-elected Thomas P. Rebel to the firm's Management Committee. Rebel has served on the Management Committee for 12 years and has been with the firm for 33 years. His new three-year term begins June 1. Fisher Phillips is one of the largest labor and employment law firms in the United States.
Rebel, a partner in the firm, serves on the Management Committee with Roger Quillen and Charles Caulkins. The committee, chaired by Quillen, serves as a board of directors for the 25-office labor and employment law firm. Each member is elected to a three-year term in staggered elections.

Since 1978, Rebel has represented employers nationally in labor and employment law matters. He works in both the firm's Atlanta and Fort Lauderdale offices. He practices extensively in the areas of wage and hour, affirmative action, education and disability law. Rebel also has handled many National Labor Relations Act matters, including representation and unfair labor practice cases and matters arising under the Occupational Safety and Health Act.
He is a member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys, has authored articles on preemption under ERISA and he was co-editor of a compendium of labor and employment articles for the National Association of College and University Attorneys. He is a frequent lecturer to industry groups on various labor and employment topics. Rebel has been listed annually in Georgia Super Lawyers since 2004. He also has been featured in Chambers USA: America's Leading Lawyers for Business since 2009.
Rebel is admitted to the Bars of Georgia and Florida. He received his juris doctor, cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law in 1978. He received three other degrees from the University of Miami: a master of education, magna cum laude, in 1974, master of science, magna cum laude, in 1973 and bachelor of science, cum laude, in 1969.
