Brian Balonick spoke with Law360 for an article examining calls for greater transparency at the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). The article explores how the pandemic has refreshed management-side desire for the Board to be more transparent and make case hearings easily accessible. Brian says that even though hearings have technically been public, having to physically go to a regional office creates obstacles for transparency. In the article he recommends the NLRB make hearings available via recordings, transcripts or video feeds so interested parties don’t have to be physically present during the pandemic.
