Fisher Phillips Partner Tapped for Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce's Executive Committee

TAMPA, FL (December 14, 2012)- The Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce has selected Steve Bernstein, partner in the Tampa office of Fisher Phillips , to serve on the organization’s Executive Committee as Legal Counsel.
In the volunteer position, Bernstein will counsel the Chamber’s leadership on legal matters and regulations, and ensure compliance with the organization’s bylaws. As a member of the Executive Committee, he will oversee Chamber activities, determine strategic priorities, and provide guidance to the growing organization.
Bernstein has more than 20 years of experience as a labor and employment attorney. He represents employers nationally in state and federal courts, and before the National Labor Relations Board, U.S. Department of Labor, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and other agencies. Bernstein has played a primary role in advising employers in representation cases, unfair labor practice charges, corporate campaigns, collective bargaining, and economic work stoppages.
Actively involved in the community, Bernstein is a member of Board of Fellows at The University of Tampa, Center for Autism-Related Disabilities and Academy of Florida Management Attorneys. He previously served on the Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors and as chair of the 2012 Benchmarking Visit to Baltimore.
The new Executive Committee members and Board of Directors were recognized at the organization’s Annual Meeting on December 13, 2012 at Tampa Convention Center. Bernstein’s term begins January 1, 2013.
