Fisher Phillips Partner Jeffrey Savarise Named Chair of Akron School of Law Advancement Council

Fisher Phillips partner Jeffrey A. Savarise has been appointed chair of the Akron School of Law Advancement Council. The Council serves as the primary advisory body to the school of law, consisting of a diverse group of alumni and friends representing the highest levels of their field drawn from private and public sector practitioners, business executives and judges. Council members advise the dean with the input and assistance of individuals whose experience provides a variety of perspectives to advance the quality and standing of the Akron School of Law.
Savarise, a 1985 graduate of the Akron School of Law, has served as a council member and is the 2009 recipient of the School’s Outstanding Alumni Award.
As partner of Fisher Phillips in Louisville, Savarise is chair of the Automotive Manufacturing Practice Group for the national law firm. He practices exclusively in the areas of labor and employment law on behalf of employers, where he handles cases in a number of state and federal jurisdictions. He also provides a variety of preventive maintenance and employment training programs geared toward the automotive industry.
He is a member of the Labor and Employment Sections of the Kentucky and American Bar Associations. He is also a member of the American Bar Association Committee on Alternative Dispute Resolution.
