Fisher Phillips Names Tom Rebel as Managing Partner of Firm's Atlanta Office

ATLANTA, GA (July 15, 2011) - Fisher Phillips announced that Thomas P. Rebel is the new Managing Partner of the firm's Atlanta office. Rebel will be responsible for managing the largest Fisher Phillips office with 48 attorneys and 77 staff members. The Atlanta staff includes the Central Operations Group that supports all offices across the firm.

Rebel has served on the firm's management committee for 12 years and will continue in that role. During those 12 years, Fisher Phillips has expanded from five offices in 1999 to the 25 it has today.

Rebel has practiced law for 33 years, focusing extensively in the areas of wage and hour, affirmative action, education and disability law. He has also handled many National Labor Relations Act matters and matters arising under the Occupational Safety and Health Act. He is a frequent lecturer to industry groups on various labor and employment topics. He is a member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys. Rebel is "AV" Peer Review Rated by Martindale-Hubbell and has been included in Georgia Super Lawyers every year since 2004. He has also been listed in Chambers USA: America's Leading Business Lawyers since 2009.

Rebel is admitted to the Bars of Georgia and Florida. He earned his Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from the University of Miami School of Law in 1978. He earned three other degrees from the University of Miami: a Master's of Education, magna cum laude, in 1974; a Master's of Science, magna cum laude, in 1973; and a Bachelor of Science, cum laude, in 1969.
