Fisher Phillips’ Kristin White Selected as “People’s Choice for Mining Law”

DENVER, CO (November 4, 2019) Fisher Phillips, a national labor and employment law firm representing employers, is pleased to announce that Denver partner Kristin White was selected as the 2019 “People’s Choice for Mining Law.” Kristin received this recognition from Law Week Colorado in its annual “Barrister’s Best” ranking of the state’s most respected practitioners.

The “Barrister’s Best” is an annual list of stand-out attorneys selected by their peers in the local market. Each year members of the Colorado legal community are asked to vote for who they think is the best of the best, and then select individuals are named the “People’s Choice” in dozens of categories. Kristin’s selection in this year’s mining law category was based on survey responses of hundreds of peer attorneys who have worked with Kristin personally or know her by her strong reputation.

Kristin regularly counsels and defends clients in regulatory workplace safety matters, and often acts as crisis management counsel for employers across all industries. She acts as a strong advocate for her clients before government agencies and administrative boards, such as the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission (OSHRC), the Federal Mine Safety and Health Review Commission (FMSHRC), and various state Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) agencies. She has made education and prevention a large part of her practice, presenting training programs and preparing written materials advising on health and safety topics under OSHA and the Mine Safety and Health Act (MSHA).
