Fisher Phillips Honored With "Business of the Year" Award by Irvine Chamber of Commerce and City of Irvine

IRVINE, CA (June 24, 2015) - The Irvine Chamber of Commerce today named national labor and employment law firm Fisher Phillips as the “Business of the Year” award recipient for 2015. The award was presented by Irvine Chamber President and CEO Tallia Hart and Irvine Mayor Steven S. Choi, Ph.D., during Irvine’s annual Business Luncheon and State of the City address in front of an audience of more than 375 members of Orange County’s business community.
“We are proud to recognize Fisher Phillips with the Business of the Year award for the firm’s demonstrated commitment and leadership to the local community,” said Tallia Hart, president and CEO of the Irvine Chamber of Commerce. “Fisher Phillips was selected for its dedicated work with local business associations and various community groups in Orange County. The work of Fisher Phillips’ staff and attorneys has benefited not only the companies they serve, but also the community at large.”
Each year, the Irvine Chamber of Commerce and The City of Irvine acknowledge an Irvine-based company as the “Business of the Year.” The award specifically recognizes businesses in Irvine which best demonstrates the principles of community service, volunteerism and traditions of good corporate citizenship.
Fisher Phillips was honored for its commitment to a number of cause-related organizations. The firm’s staff dedicates time to a variety of initiatives including: the nonprofit Human Options, various Chambers of Commerce, and the Project SELF (Summer Employment in Law Firms) program, which hires qualified high school students from underprivileged backgrounds to work for law firms during the summer in order to enhance their knowledge, experience and self-esteem in the legal field.
