Fisher Phillips Expands in Texas

Fisher Phillips, one of the country’s preeminent labor and employment law firms representing employers, is pleased to announce that Brett Holubeck has joined the firm as an associate in the Houston office.

Before joining Fisher Phillips, Brett practiced employment law at a Gulf Coast regional firm where he defended companies in matters involving discrimination, labor relations, and non-competition. He also has experience handling wage and hour disputes, conducting harassment investigations, and handling unfair labor practice charges and union grievances. At Fisher Phillips Brett will continue defending employers in workplace disputes while also focusing on preventative measures such as conducting employee and HR training, reviewing employee handbooks, drafting employment agreements, and creating policies in compliance with federal and state employment laws and agency regulations.

Brett is an established thought leader in employment law as creator of the Texas Labor Law Blog, which provides timely and practical insights for HR professionals, managers, and business owners. His work on the blog, which now includes a podcast, earned him the 2019 LexBlog Excellence Award for best “How-To” Post. Brett has also earned the designation of “One to Watch” in the 2022 edition of Best Lawyers.

Brett earned his law degree from the University of Iowa College of Law where he served as Senior Note and Comment Editor for the Journal of Corporation Law.
