SAN FRANCISCO, CA (September 18, 2020) – Fisher Phillips, one of the Country’s preeminent labor and employment law firms representing employers, announces the addition of Raymond Duer and Kevin Quan as associates in the Firm’s San Francisco office.
Duer joins Fisher Phillips’ California Litigation Practice from a national law firm where he advised employers in individual, class and collective actions at each stage of litigation, from initial dispute resolution through the appellate process. As part of his practice, Duer also counsels employers on an array of workplace issues, including employment contracts and policies, worker classification, wage and hour compliance, data security and workplace privacy, and international employment. He previously served as judicial clerk to the Honorable William S. Dato, Associate Justice, California Court of Appeal, Fourth Appellate District, Division One, and the Honorable Dena H. Duer earned his J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law and his B.A., cum laude, from Harvard College.
Quan joins from a California firm where he was a member of their Labor & Employment group. He provides strategic counsel to employers on claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination and wage and hour violations in both state and federal courts. Quan also investigates and responds to charges filed by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Department of Fair Employment and Housing. Quan earned his J.D., cum laude, from UC Hastings College of Law and his B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of California, Irvine.
“Because of the speed at which laws have changed and the rapidly evolving circumstances amid COVID-19, employment litigation and workplace disputes are on the rise across California. By adding attorneys like Raymond and Kevin, Fisher Phillips continues to be well-positioned and ready to assist clients across the state with defending against these employment claims, and where possible, preventing them from arising the first place,” said Jason Geller, Regional Managing Partner of Fisher Phillips’ San Francisco office.
