Fisher Phillips, one of the country’s preeminent labor and employment law firms representing employers, announces the addition of Carlton Pilger as Of Counsel in the firm’s Atlanta office and member of the firm’s Employee Benefits practice. He joins shortly after the arrival of Katharine Finley, an Employee Benefits associate.
Pilger re-joins Fisher Phillips from EPIC Insurance Brokers & Consultants where he was the national director of Employee Benefits Compliance Services. With more than 25 years of employee benefits counseling and consulting experience, Pilger adds to Fisher Phillips’ comprehensive consulting services regarding the ever-changing employee benefit compliance landscape. He has extensive experience advising C-suite executives, legal teams and HR functions on compliance with the Affordable Care Act and Employee Retirement Income Security Act and navigating all aspects of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act, Family and Medical Leave Act and state insurance and employment-related matters.
At Fisher Phillips, Pilger will work with the firm’s national Employee Benefits team to provide clients in Georgia and across the country day-to-day advice and counseling on compliance issues and also on benefit plan strategies, designs, implementation and administration. He earned his J.D. and B.S. from Northwestern University.
