PITTSBURGH, PA (October 27, 2020) – Fisher Phillips, one of the country’s preeminent labor and employment law firms representing employers, announces the addition of Raeann Burgo as of counsel and Erica Wilson as an associate in the firm’s Pittsburgh office. They join on the heels of James Glunt, a seasoned employment litigation and counseling partner, who joined Fisher Phillips last month.
Burgo is an accomplished employment litigator and employment counselor. She has a wide range of experience advising clients on workplace laws like Title VII, Americans with Disabilities Act, The Age Discrimination in Employment Act and The Family and Medical Leave Act. Burgo defends employers against single plaintiff discrimination and harassment cases, as well as class and collective action wage and hour claims, and works with clients to develop effective workplace policies to reduce the likelihood of litigation. She also has experience advising employers on labor relations issues, including administering collective bargaining agreements and representing them at contract and wrongful discharge arbitrations. Recently, Burgo has been advising clients on the numerous employment issues arising from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Wilson also has an expansive litigation and counseling practice, with a particular focus on guiding employers through investigations and managing information that arises at the intersection of law and technology. She leverages her experience with e-discovery, forensic examination and data to help clients avoid risk and create the most efficient legal strategies to solve their workplace challenges. Wilson regularly works with clients during all stages of litigation and defends them in single-plaintiff, multi-plaintiff and class action matters involving wage and hour, worker classification, retaliation, and discrimination, and also enforces noncompetition and arbitration agreements. Wilson is a frequent speaker on various topics related to technology, social media, and the future of work.
“We are thrilled to welcome Raeann and Erica to Fisher Phillips. Their practices complement our growing team and add new client service offerings to employers in Western Pennsylvania,” said Christopher Stief, Regional Managing Partner of Fisher Phillips’ Pittsburgh and Philadelphia offices. “As we look to the future, we continue to see Pittsburgh as key market for Fisher Phillips. Their arrival further solidifies our presence in Pittsburgh and positions us for additional growth as we seek out top talent to join our rapidly expanding team.”
“Raeann and Erica are top-notch employment attorneys and innovative problem solvers. They bring an unmatched determination to solve their clients’ most pressing workplace challenges and we are fortunate to have them on our team. I know they will be tremendous assets for our clients in Pittsburgh, and elsewhere, and will hit the ground running,” Jay Glunt added.
Burgo earned her J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law and her B.S. from John Carroll University. Wilson earned her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and her B.S.B.A from Indiana University Bloomington.
