TAMPA (March 17, 2021) – Fisher Phillips, one of the country’s preeminent labor and employment law firms representing employers, announces the addition of Sharon Wey as Of Counsel in the firm’s Tampa office. Wey joins from the law offices of Miller Tack & Madson, where she practiced with Michael Miller and Timothy Tack, two powerhouse attorneys in the Professional Employer Organization (PEO) industry who joined Fisher Phillips in 2020.
During her distinguished career, Wey has counseled clients in the PEO industry, the health care industry, and clients in a myriad of other industries on employment law issues. She helps implement preventive training programs and best practices for workplace policies and represents employers across the state in labor and employment litigation matters involving Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, and the Florida Civil Rights Act. Wey leverages her experience as a former human resources manager and Certified Professional in Human Resources to help employers utilize practical workplace solutions and trainings related to harassment, employee leaves and accommodations. She earned her J.D. from Stetson University College of Law and her B.A. from the University of South Florida.
