DENVER (April 1, 2021) – Fisher Phillips, one of the country’s preeminent labor and employment law firms representing employers, is pleased to announce that Jeffrey McClelland has joined the firm as an associate in the Denver office.
Before joining Fisher Phillips, Jeff practiced at an AmLaw 100 firm where he defended employers in federal and state court litigation involving claims of discrimination, retaliation, and wrongful discharge. He also litigated disputes involving non-compete agreements and trade secrets. At Fisher Phillips Jeff will continue representing employers in workplace law disputes and will also advise clients on compliance with a variety of other federal and state employment laws and agency regulations including Title VII, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Equal Pay Act, Family and Medical Leave Act, Colorado Wage Claim Act, and the Fair Labor Standards Act. In addition, Jeff will provide counseling and help employers of all sizes prevent workplace disputes by advising them on employee training, handbooks, and policy creation.
Jeff is the first new associate to join Fisher Phillips’ Denver office since its 2020 move to new office space in the heart of the City’s Central Business District located at 1125 17th St. The new space provides double the square footage to accommodate the growth that the Denver office has been experiencing in recent months, and Jeff’s arrival brings the lawyer count in that office to 23.
Jeff earned his law degree from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where he was admitted into the Order of St. Ives and served as Executive Article Editor and Staff Editor of the Transportation Law Journal. Before law school, he earned a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Denver and a Certificate of Pastry Arts from the California Culinary Academy.
