State reimbursement requirements could kick in if OSHA doesn’t direct employers to pay for COVID testing. Samantha adds that OSHA’s rule could allow for at-home testing—potentially providing a way for companies to minimize the time it takes for workers to get tested, which can be its own expense separate from the tests themselves.
