As a lead-up celebration to Nevada Reading Week, Fisher Phillips and online university WGU Nevada partnered with the City of Las Vegas and debuted the first installment of free “Little Libraries” at the February 21 city council meeting. Associates Holly Walker and Allison Kheel were on-site to say a few words and celebrate the first “book drop” into a “Little Libraries receptacle.”
“Take a book, leave a book” is the general idea behind the Little Libraries free book exchange, which is to encourage reading for all ages, promote community involvement, improve literacy rates, and increase access to books in areas around the city.
Fisher Phillips, along with other business partners in the community, will be holding an ongoing book drive to help keep these Little Libraries full of books. People can drop off their new or gently used books at the Fisher Phillips downtown Las Vegas office at 300 S. 4th Street, Suite 1500.
