SAN FRANCISCO, CA (July 20, 2010) - Fisher Phillips announces the addition of Mark Ross as a partner in its San Francisco office. Representing employers in all aspects of traditional labor law, Ross was most recently a partner with Seyfarth Shaw LLP.
Timothy J. Murphy, managing partner of the Fisher Phillips San Francisco office said: "Mark's decades of experience in traditional labor relations, as well as his litigation strength, are solid complements to the legal services we offer our clients in Northern California. We are excited to have an outstanding veteran labor lawyer such as Mark in San Francisco. Mark joins a group of colleagues across the country who have deep and broad experience and knowledge in traditional labor law."
"I was attracted to Fisher Phillips because of its strong national reputation in labor law," added Ross. "This is an exciting move for me to be able to join with some of the top labor lawyers in the nation to help our clients with their traditional labor law issues."
Ross has extensive experience representing clients before the National Labor Relations Board and in appellate courts including a successful argument before the U.S. Supreme Court in Laborers Health & Welfare Trust Fund for N. Cal. v. Advanced Lightweight Concrete Co., 484 U.S. 539 (1988). In addition, Ross advises clients on how to lawfully and effectively respond to union organizing and he helps management involved in collective bargaining for labor contracts. He also trains management and supervisors on legal compliance under the National Labor Relations Act.
