CLEVELAND (November 5, 2019) – Fisher Phillips, a national labor and employment law firm representing employers, announces the addition of Michael J. Reidy as Of Counsel in the firm’s Cleveland office.
Michael focuses his labor and employment practice on workers’ compensation defense and has represented employers before the Industrial Commission of Ohio and at all levels of Ohio courts. As a skilled trial attorney, Michael has experience at all phases of the litigation process, and he has tried more than 60 cases to jury verdict.
“We’re thrilled to have a lawyer of Mike’s caliber join our team,” said Steve Nobil, regional managing partner of Fisher Phillips’ Cleveland office. “His experience representing employers in workers’ compensation matters is second-to-none, and he will bring this experience to bear for our clients here in the state of Ohio and across the firm’s larger platform.”
Michael’s workers’ compensation practice began when he was in-house administrator for one of Cleveland’s Fortune 500 companies. He went on to gain valuable perspective as a business owner and state-funded employer operating a company with 50 full- and part-time employees. Prior to joining Fisher Phillips, Michael worked at a smaller law firm in Cleveland for almost 10 years.
Michael earned his law degree from Case Western Reserve University and he earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Akron. He is an active member of the workers’ compensation sections of both the Ohio and Cleveland Bar Associations.
